changing beauty

October 15, 2010

A beautiful thing never gives so much pain as does failing to hear and see it. (Michelangelo)

Joy in looking and comprehending is nature’s most beautiful gift. (Albert Einstein)

The longer I live, the more beautiful life becomes. (Frank Lloyd Wright)

These pictures are from a Hydrangea tree that was planted MANY years ago. It stands between my home and the road. Many people drive by it and tell me how beautiful it is. I agree. I took the time this past summer and autumn to take some pictures of the blossoms.

I took time and sat under this tree and in other trees several times this year and marveled at the beauty that changes.

CHANGE is beautiful.

DIFFERENCES are beautiful.

We just need to take the time to be still long enough so that we can see and hear the changes in our lives and the lives around us so that we can know and begin to understand the beauty that surrounds us each day. This time spent in retreat, rest, reflection, and re-envisioning has and will continue to bring forth restoration.
