Day 2

September 19, 2012

13) Today I started the day with a running date. Aaron and I both enjoy the quiet solitude of a run by ourselves, but this morning after we dropped the kids off at school and we were getting ready for our separate runs I asked, “Want to run together?” “Sure!” So, together we started this day off with an amazingly restorative run.

Thankful for life and time: Remembering to share my eucharist

September 18, 2012

I am realizing that it has been a long time since I have posted on my year of thanksgiving…please don’t think I have not been thankful. Living in thanksgiving has become part of my daily breathing of God’s grace and creation. Indeed, I have hundreds of thanksgivings. So, tonight I will post a thanksgiving for each day I’ve been absent since July. ImageLife has been good, life has been full, life CAN be restorative for which I am eternally thankful for.

See you tonight friends…R~R~R.

time and water for our plants

July 6, 2012

Yesterday I was thankful for having time and water in our rain barrel to water all of our patio tomatoes, peppers, and herb garden.

Today I am thankful for friends who are willing to share some of their time to water all of these precious plants while we are gone for a few days.

4th fun

July 6, 2012

On the fourth we spent time with lots of different friends doing some of my favorite things…running, swimming, reading, and looking at the sky:

Sooo… on the 4th of July I was and am thankful for all of our 4th of July friend fun.

June 28th- today thanksgiving

July 3, 2012

June 28, 1997: my husband and I exchanged vows to love and support each other for the rest of our lives.

On that day I never could imagine the crazy pain and deep joy that would follow as we worked to keep those vows for the next 15 years. When we said our vows I knew that marriage was a decision we were making to commit to working through things no matter what…but what that meant I had no idea. I could have never imagined the joy I would discover out of working through painful and difficult times together.

Today I look back at just this past week and I am so thankful for our life together. Going out to celebrate our anniversary, our children and their abilities to consistently make us laugh and smile deeply, running with friends, eating waffles with friends, getting our picture taken by an amazing artist (Kaylan Buteyn), and spending time with family.

Today I am thankful for saying “i do” 15 years and one week ago and for this life that we have as individuals as well as a family.
